While at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts festival in California, one star turned many heads with her outfit. It was singer and actress Rihanna. The Barbados born beauty, stood out wearing her Y/PROJECT brown draped organza bow dress, UGG x Y/Project extra long stiletto boots, Harry Kotlar diamond earrings and bracelets along with Le Vian diamond rings.
The up and coming Paris-based fashion label Y/Project, is mixing up their take on playful proportions and historical references with their designs.
Rihanna’s full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty. She was born in Saint Michael, Barbados and later was raised in Bridgetown. Willingly or not, 30 year old Rihanna, has become an international sex symbol as she reinvents herself as a musical artist. She quickly gained fame, after her single release “Umbrella” was released. The track won her a Grammy Award back in 2008.
While at the festival, Rihanna didn’t perform, but with her unique look, she stirred up quite the buzz. Later, a party was held, hosted by Rihanna for her Fenty x Puma collection. During the festival, Rihanna was seen living it up in the front row, while watching singer/actress Beyonce perform.
Photos were posted later by Rihanna on Instagram. These photos posted on April 15th, showed off her distinctive outfit which received mixed reviews from the fashion police among other media. During the first day of the music festival, Rihanna wore a custom all-white outfit by Chrome Hearts, featuring plenty of silver buckles and snaps — along with bright blue eye shadow.
Rihanna is unique herself and is considered by many as an anti-superstar. People are anxiously awaiting what she will do next, as she stands inside of the spotlight. Recognized as a pop icon of today’s music, Rihanna is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 250 million records sold worldwide. It seems she has a bright future ahead of her.
