It seems cupid has something in the works for both Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp. The pair are no strangers to showbiz and something keeps drawing them back together. Seen recently, in South Carolina, John and Meg were seen eating and walking together. The pair has since reunited back on July of 2017. Neighbors insist, that a nuptial is planned to happen sometime in the very near future.
Like any relationship, things are sometimes tough. Imagine being famous and in the public eye, this only magnifies an already stressful series of situations. The couple have been spending time at Mellencamp’s South Carolina home. Daufuskie Island, is located between Hilton Head Island and Savannah.
Meg Ryan mentioned, that all of this is nothing but mere rumors being spread. Both John and Meg previously dated for three years. Things didn’t exactly end well for the pair. They were previously together from 2011 until 2014 officially.
“Oh, women hate me,” John famously told Howard Stern in March 2017. “I loved Meg Ryan. She hates me to death.”
Howard asked John to elaborate on why Meg supposedly hated him.
“I think it’s because I’m a child. I throw fits, I gripe, I complain. I’m moody. Every bad thing that a fella can be, that’s me.” He claimed that he’d even tried to extend an olive branch to her.
“I’ve done that. She just doesn’t want anything to do with me,” he said. “And I can’t blame her.”
Still, he said Meg was “fantastic.”
It seems the feelings are mutual as both of them seem to have a tight bond with one another.
According to Page Six reports, the community there is “buzzing with chatter”. Actress Ryan and Musician Mellencamp have been seen all over the island seemingly putting something together. It is suspected that wedding plans are being made. However, those who have spoken with them, have been tight lipped about anything else.
John’s home (a mansion), has been featured in Architectural Digest. It has large ceilings, along with a ocean view. The windows have been compared to that of a church. The place has some character, just like John does. Ryan sold her Soho loft for $10 million, which leads to further suspicious behavior.
