Many might know her as the bold and brash presence from the A&E reality show “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” which aired from 2004 to 2012. Beth Chapman, is 51 years old. She was previously diagnosed with Stage 2 throat cancer back in 2017. Later, they shared the tragic news on Facebook.
Unfortunately, the cancer has since returned and has left Beth disabled. She fell into a medically induced coma recently. Fans were shocked to learn the news as Beth battles for her life. She was hospitalized in April from an accumulation of fluid inside her lungs. Doctors performed an emergency procedure, to alleviate pressure, the couple explained previously.
Beth’s husband Duane Chapman aka “Dog the Bounty Hunter,” asked his fans and friends for their prayers on Sunday after learning the news of his wife. Both Beth and Duane also appeared together on the reality television series “Dog and Beth: On the Hunt”. The series aired on the CMT television network between 2013 to 2015.
While Dog the Bounty Hunter was filmed, the series followed around mulleted bounty hunter Duane “Dog” and his wife Beth. However, they were not alone. They had a team (including some family) help them track down bail fugitives.
As one can imagine, it is both a dangerous yet interesting job to do. You never know what might happen each day. Doing something like this poses its risks and rewards. There is good money in being a bounty hunter.
Many of the people they came across seemed down on their luck due to drugs and/or other activities. You never know what is going through the minds of these kind of people. They aren’t thinking rationally.
In a statement released to local media KHNL, the family requested others to pray for Beth and her condition. Despite the diagnosis, the Chapmans did announce a new show “Dog’s Most Wanted” which will soon be coming to WGN America.
