Actress Eliza Dushku, is known for her appearances in both television and movies. She ultimately was let go after controversy surrounded the set of “Bull.” The CBS drama series, stars actor Michael Weatherly as Dr. Phil McGraw, the founder of one of the most prolific trial consulting firms of all time. The series premiered back on May 13, 2016.
Back in March 2017, Eliza Dushku signed on with the series to portray J.P. Nunnelly. This character was a criminal defense lawyer. Her time on this series didn’t last long, due to sexual harassment statements made by actor Michael Weatherly and several other crew members on set.
They cracked jokes about threesomes and rape regarding 37 year old Eliza. It didn’t take long before actor Michael Weatherly began making more comments about Eliza. Some of these comments included “Here comes legs”. He referred to her, as she was wearing a suit on set. He also made comments about bending her over and spanking her.
Eliza Dushku signed on for the series but filmed only 3 episodes. She was to be paid $35,000 per episode, a figure that would have increased significantly as the series progressed. With her experience on screen spanning 20 years, she has previously appeared in hits like “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel,” and “Dollhouse”.
Eliza also became the voice of the #MeToo movement earlier this year. This movement spread online quickly back in October of 2017, becoming a hashtag on social media sites. The demonstration, is in response to sexual assault and harassment found within the workplace.
When Eliza was only 12 years old, she appeared in the 1994 movie “True Lies” opposite of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. On the production of the set, she was molested by a stunt coordinator. Later, the stunt coordinator denied her entire allegations.
Now it seems that Eliza is getting the last laugh as her bank account grew by $9.5 million dollars over the settlement. Who knows where she might end up next but perhaps another role will come her way soon.
